Westfield London and Stratford City Support Online Secondary Businesses – Retail Technology Innovation Hub

Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City have announced a Side Hustle Heroes initiative in London.

The malls will be home to social media brands that came into being in 2020 with the goal of supporting small businesses as non-essential retail reopens.

Store windows will feature bespoke dye accessories, hand dipped Instagram candles and sustainable paint, with participating brands such as Tingle, Three Sisters Farm and Ava May.

Harita Shah, UK Marketing & Creative Director, Media, Events & Brand – Europe, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, comments: “While the pandemic has been a difficult time for many, it has also simultaneously presented an opportunity for the nation. to transform their hobbies and passions into their own businesses launched online in the past 12 months. “

“With people craving physical experiences more than ever and 49% of consumers wanting to buy more local products, we’re bringing these brands offline in a physical space for the first time.”

“We are delighted to be able to showcase and support these London entrepreneurs by giving them direct exposure to the millions of buyers who visit our centers each year.”

London’s Side Hustle Heroes will be in play at both centers until June, with a QR code available to scan on every storefront, leading to social media and the company’s websites.
