The city of Ballarat is proud to present the Ballarat Winter Festival 2021, celebrating the iconic Ballarat season with a range of events and activities for all ages.
From June 26 to July 18, 2021, the ever-popular ice rink will be back for another year against the beautiful heritage cityscape of Ballarat, in the heart of the city, between Town Hall and Myer. Experience the thrill of sliding on the ice to the sound of music and disco lights under the marquee all the time.
With all day skating, the rink will open daily from 9 a.m. with child-friendly sessions that include a sensory session at 9 a.m. every Thursday. Skating sessions take place all day until 8:30 p.m., with disco sessions offered on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Tickets to skate buy quickly, so book early to make the most of this icon of the winter festival. Customers will need to scan the QR code upon entering and follow the latest COVID-19 restrictions.

The Ballarat Wildlife Park will launch this winter an exciting new encounter with the Sumatran tiger with “Satu”, a critically endangered tiger. Learn how to make a difference to save this amazing species and take home a fun conservation gift bag.
All new self-guided tours of the park will also be available with digital QR guardians who will talk and teach interesting facts about some of our iconic species housed at Ballarat Wildlife Park.

“With the Design Exchange Market, a clothing exchange and recycling workshop at the Mining Exchange, art exhibitions and book signings, winter workshops including candle making, painting and a hunting experience à la truffle / Taste of the truffle, there is a lot to enjoy these school holidays, ”he said.
